Tournament Rules

Basic overview about the rules and propositions. Anyway, this is friendly tournament, please act accordingly ;) 

1. Tournament format

8 teams in total

Group phase
2 groups

Each team in group is playing each team (3 matches in group phase)

Each game is played minimum 2x20min, depends how we are able to keep the schedule (there is a 60 minutes for one match, we can pro-long games to 2x25min) 

Win = 2 points
Draw = 1 point
Lost = 0 point
In case of same amount of points the tiebreakers are: mutual match, scored goals, less penalties

Medal phase

Medal game D - 4th group A vs 4th group B
Medal game C - 3rd group A vs 3rd group B
Medal game B - 2nd group A vs 2nd group B 
Medal game A - 1st group A vs 1st group B

Medal games will be played 3x16min. In case of draw will be 3 shootouts

2. Game play rules

- no icing call
- if puck is bounce back to game from the net, the game is still going on 
- no body checks are allowed
- dirty play will be punished with elimination from tournament
- goalkeeper is allowed to play out of the "box" behind/beside the net 

3. General info

- before each game team manager is responsible to check with timekeeper the lineup in the tournament system (list of players and their jersey numbers) 
- players are allowed to play for more teams during this tournament
- when the Ice keeper (staff from arena) is on the ice, and the ice maintenance is not finished nobody is allowed to enter the ice nor to use the pucks
- there is no medical service at arena during this tournament
- no health insurance for any of the players
